Congratulations to Germany on the Wedding Win

Registered partnerships with limited rights are now a thing of the past in Germany. The country celebrated their first same-sex wedding recently after a recent bill for same-sex marriages passed by a wide margin and with overwhelming public support.

About 60 guests and an equal number of journalists packed into Schoeneberg town hall’s “Golden Room” to witness the marriage of Karl Kreile and his partner of 38 years, Bodo Mende. The wedding commenced after a starter pistol was fired. Awesome.
