A Gay old time on New Year’s Eve in Times Square

Alex and Michael were declared the first same-sex couple of 2016 as finalists in a contest put on by Generation Tux and they were married in Times Square on New Year’s Eve one year ago.

Every detail of their big day was planned, organized and perfected by the company hosting the event. They awoke to a morning spa day and then eventually took Times Square by storm. The happy couple was spotlighted in a crowd of over a million guests and paraded around like rock stars. The ceremony took place atop the Hard Rock Café’s Marquee above the crowds and underneath the infamous Times Square Ball as Carrie Underwood sang live in the background.
