National Bridal Show: The most Inclusive Wedding Show in Canada

What a fantastic weekend we had at the National Bridal Show in the Enercare Centre. We owe some huge thanks for the success of the #CanadaGayWeddings Lounge to a long list of vendors and partners. First, we want to take a minute to congratulate the National Bridal Show for setting the bar in Canada for all other wedding shows with the inclusion of LGBTQ programming. Not only was our lounge a first-time event in a mass consumer show, but there were also two LGBTQ couples that walked the fashion show catwalk!

None of this would have been possible without the extraordinary attention, passion and vision that Madelain Gileadi, the show manager (along with her incredible staff), brought to the table. Thank you Madelain for all that you’ve done and continue to do to champion inclusion in the wedding industry.

Our vendor partners worked hard to bring atmosphere, personality and vibe to our lounge and their efforts are the reason we were received by the Toronto community with open arms. A few notables you may have chatted with over the weekend include; Holly Elizabeth (Blondie’s Bake Shop), Collin Sines (Travel Gay Canada), Helen Sweet (The Bride’s Project), Steven Morgado (Joie de Vivre Events), Vicky Nicholas (Perfect Planners), Moussa Faddoul (FotoReflection), and of course our very own, Trula Pissas (Montana, the Art of Makeup & Hair).

If you didn’t make it out this past weekend to see us, click through the photos below to see us spreading the love in our inclusive lounge. :)
