Gaby and Dani
Our Story
Though Gaby and Dani both originally grew up in Venezuela, their love story began after they each moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They met and fell in love in 2014, and it was love at first sight.
Their wedding day was a perfect day for an elopement. No fancy displays, no elaborate all day schedule, not even a large crowd of attendees. Just the closest of family and friends, their wedding officiant, and their photographers, were close by as the couple spent the day celebrating.
The day began with a morning stroll in the mountains in North Vancouver where the ladies now call home.
“We can see the mountains every day outside our windows, it’s exactly where we want to be.” says Gaby.
So it’s suiting that they chose the luxurious natural beauty of Rice Lake, nestled within the mountains of North Vancouver for the setting of their wedding day photography.
Staying true to their unique style, these ladies chose not to wear white dresses on their wedding day. Instead choosing blue as their chosen theme.
“It’s our day, I want to be comfortable.” says Dani, “All we ask, is that everyone be wearing converse sneakers.”
Both brides then spent the entire day showing off their matching bridal converse sneakers!!
The simple ceremony lasted no more than 10 minutes. Family and friends cheered for the couple as they cut into their custom blue and white styled cake. Insisting that every guest, (including the photographers and officiant) partake in a piece of cake.
“We’re from Venezuela, food is an important part of our heritage, everyone must be fed.” Gaby says. “Eat, and be happy!”.
